NATURIGIN BLACK 2.0| AMMONIA-FREE NATURAL HAIR COLOUR

Want to Know more?

Our unique hair colors are natural because 96.3% of the ingredients are certified organic or of natural origin. The hair colors are free of ammonia, parabens and silicone, but it is our 12 organic oils and extracts that make our hair colors natural.

The natural extracts and oils are obtained from various organic fruits and plants, including aloe vera, argan, peach and many more. Each ingredient has been carefully selected because each of them has special properties. Together, they help to strengthen, moisturize and shine your hair and stimulate hair growth. This reduces dryness and irritation of the scalp, increases the elasticity of the hair and makes it soft and shiny. The oils of orange, grapefruit and lemon also give your hair a fresh citrus scent. Together, the 12 oils help to color your hair more gently and ensure that your hair gets the best conditions to thrive.

The main advantage of a natural hair color is that it contains no ammonia, parabens or SLS. This makes the hair color gentler, ensuring that the hair is not damaged during the dyeing process. Another reason to avoid these ingredients is that they can have a hormone-disrupting effect.

Ammonia is usually recognized by the unpleasant smell that some hair colors have. It can also cause irritation to the scalp as it draws out the hair's natural moisture. Parabens, on the other hand, are not as easily noticed because they are used as preservatives. They serve only to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi in hair color, which makes the products easier to produce in large quantities. However, they have no influence on the result of the coloring and are therefore unnecessary for hair color.

Although you can use natural hair colors safely without worrying about ammonia, parabens and SLS, you may still experience allergic reactions to certain natural ingredients. One example of this is citrus fruits, which are used in many hair and skin care products. Therefore, we always recommend reading the ingredients list carefully and doing a patch test before using a new care product.

When choosing a new hair color, it's important to consider your skin tone. Do you have a warm skin tone? Then shades like golden blonde or copper are the perfect choice. On the other hand, if you have a cool skin tone, ash blonde, dark brown or black can make your eyes sparkle. If you're unsure about your skin tone, we recommend focusing on whether your skin is warm or cool. While it is possible to have neutral skin, most skin leans more towards one side or the other. To determine your skin tone, look at your wrist and find your vein. If it's greenish, you have a warm undertone; if it's purple, you're more on the cool side.

The reason your skin tone is so important when choosing a color is that it creates a connection between your eyes and your skin. For example, if you have a cool skin tone, a very warm color would make you appear paler. Your skin tone therefore acts as a natural frame that determines which colors best suit your appearance. Also consider how much you want to change the tint. The greater the difference to your natural color, the more pronounced the result will be.

If you are unsure, we recommend starting with a color that is close to your natural color to achieve a gentle change. Would you like to learn more about how to choose the right hair color? Try our handy quiz. It only takes two minutes and gives you a recommendation based on your skin tone, eye color and hair type. Still unsure after the quiz? Then feel free to contact us by email or phone – we are happy to help you find your new perfect natural hair color.

If you don't feel that our hair colors are right for you, you can also mix them. In that case, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the meaning of the numbers for the color. All our permanent colors have a slightly warm tint by nature. If you are unsure about how warm you want your color to be, we always recommend starting with our colors that end in.0.

On the hair color scale, you will most often find two numbers. The first number describes the brightness of the color, which are referred to as primary shades. These start at 2 and go up to 11, which is the lightest variant in our range. Here is an explanation of the color scale:

2 - Black
3 - Dark brown
4 - Brown
5 - Light brown
6 - Dark blonde
7 - Medium blonde
8 - Blonde
9 - Light blonde
10 - Platinum blonde
11 - Light platinum blonde

In addition to the primary color, there are so-called undertones. Here, the number describes whether the color is warm, cold or neutral.

0 - neutral
1 - ash/cold
2 - violet (ash)/cold
3 - gold/warm
4 - copper/warm
5 - red/warm
6 - very warm copper/warm

In general, you can use NATURIGIN Color in colored hair because our hair colors are 100% opaque and permanent. However, you should be aware that the result of a hair color in general is influenced by the color the hair already has. The result is also influenced by the amount of chemicals that were in the previous color, if any.

Hair coloring can usually lighten hair by 2-3 tones. To get a good result, it is therefore important that you choose a color within this range. If you want to make a more drastic change, such as going from brown to light blonde, we recommend that you visit a hairdresser.

The amount of hair color needed depends on how long and how thick your hair is. One box of NATURIGIN Hair Color contains enough color for most people's needs, but if you have exceptionally long and thick hair, it's a good idea to use two boxes for one coloring.

You can use half and store the rest, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Prepare only the amount you plan to use right now – don't mix the remaining color and activator together and store them before you need them, otherwise the color will oxidize and the result will be unstable. Strictly adhere to the mixing ratio on the package – use a kitchen scale to do this. Remember that hair color should always be mixed in a plastic (not metal) bowl.

Works for My Super Sensitive Scalp

I have tried various less expensive "ammonia free" brands but they've all proven too painful for my scalp, which felt like an arsonist set it on fire. So having a super sensitive head I decided to spend a little more and bought something more "natural" like this one. This product lives up to its name, and my head doesn't feel like a forest fire, but I can still feel a little sting, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars. At least this one I can keep on my head and endure the required 30 mins time to keep it on without having to run to my bathtub fire station for emergency rinsing.

Worth the money

Yes it’s expensive but it is so worth it. It’s been 4 weeks and I haven’t had that odd red/brown color come through from the last coloring I did with this brand. It is gentle on my scalp & no terrible smell that lingers in the house hours after I finished coloring my hair 10/10 I’m telling everyone about this brand.

Very good product

This is my first time using a truly clean dye. I can immediately tell as I was dying my hair that it is different. Very soft feeling. I also like the result. My hair just felt different when compared to the products I buy from the drug stores. It takes longer to apply but it’s worth it. I wish it was cheaper though.

Best Results

I’ve been struggling with dyeing my hair for years now. I seem to be allergic to something in hair dye but haven’t figured it out. So each time I dye my hair I suffer contact dermatitis for a few weeks. I’ve tried different dyes (sensitive, paraben free and vegan) with no relief. Although I still got an allergic reaction with this dye it was only a couple of days.

My hair feels soft and so far it’s been 2 weeks I don’t see much bleeding of the dye.
